Donna Starnes has been a graphic designer since 1985. Past clients include colleges, museums, scientists, churches, artists and massage therapists. She loves to design promotional materials for events. For the Southwestern Writers Collection, she designed a logo, invitations, posters, signs and newsletters.
She is equally comfortable doing technical illustrations, such as an animation of the physics of boiling water, and artistic designs such as a calligrapher’s website.
Donna’s motto is “less is more.” She uses lots of white space and strives for the perfect marriage of elegant style and practical function.
She takes a project from start to finish by creating illustrations, taking photographs, designing a piece and supervising the printer to ensure top quality.
On a personal note, Donna is married and lives in South Austin. She teaches Nia classes at the NiaSpace studio on South Congress. She enjoys being a dj for the Austin Ecstatic Dance community and digging in her garden
